A technical sparring partner.
I help with software, architecture and infrastructure problems. I’ve worked on these systems as both a developer and an architect.
// WORK I’VE DONE
Product Development
I was part of a product development team, working on software for customers and managing the infrastructure behind it. That platform work later gave me the idea for Gridium.
System Integrations
I was a key developer across Business Central, with a particular focus on interfaces: mobile data capture (MDE), electronic data interchange (EDI), ecommerce and connections to other business systems.
Business App Development
I develop applications for different business cases using Android and Power Apps, from inventory and mobile data capture to day-to-day operational workflows.
Solution Architecture
In my current role as a Solution Architect, I turn business and technical requirements into an overall system design. I work through how Business Central, Azure and surrounding applications fit together, including the trade-offs for implementation and operation.
// WHERE I CAN HELP
Architecture Review
An assessment of the existing system: how the parts fit together, where the risks are, and which changes deserve attention first.
Solution Design
A concrete technical approach: system boundaries, integrations, data flows and deployment choices, with the trade-offs explained.
Modernization
A plan for changing an existing system in stages, accounting for the integrations and operations that depend on it.
Technical Discovery
Investigation of the unknowns before implementation, using focused analysis or a prototype where needed.
// WORKING TOGETHER
- 01
Explain the problem
Tell me what you’re trying to do, what exists today and where you’re stuck.
- 02
Compare options
We discuss a few ways to solve it, what each would take and where it might fall short.
- 03
Define the approach
I work out the details of the approach we choose and can help implement it.
I’ll recommend cloud, on-premises or a mix of both, depending on what the problem calls for.
